To create onscreen keyboard for a resistive touch screen device used by postal department in North America to sort packages. Absence a keyboard on this custom device was proving to be a major issue prolonging task for the user
Solution
•Designed keyboard keys with size of 32px by 32px so as to have a bigger tap area allowing ease of use even with hand gloves and prevent error
•Matched the keyboard layout with that of the physical keyboard on the device so as to shorten the learning curve and aid learnability
•All frequently used keys placed on first screen for faster operation by the user
